This role supports training of new staff, assists with quality improvement initiatives, and serves as a key liaison for clinical and administrative coordination. The position emphasizes autonomy, leadership, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in laboratory science is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry or related science preferred.
• 1+ year of clinical laboratory experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects, receives, identifies, labels, processes and transports specimens.
• Performs clerical duties including phones and data entry.
• Assists with waived laboratory testing.
• Supports training and onboarding of new Lab Assistants.
• Maintains and troubleshoots lab equipment and phlebotomy stations.
• Communicates with providers and staff to ensure timely results.
• Participates in quality improvement projects and training.
• Maintains inventory and keeps lab area clean and compliant.
