Job summary

Texas Oncology in Katy, TX is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our on-site team. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm, with rising responsibilities from Level 1 to Sr based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Level 1: entry level, no experience.
• Level 2: minimum three years laboratory experience.
• Level Sr: minimum five years laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects and processes specimens from patients.
• Performs specimen analysis and quality control procedures.
• Maintains documentation and logs as required by QA programs.
• Preps patients and draws blood, then sends to the lab for analysis.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and follows safety policies.
• Performs phlebotomy and contributes to CLIA-waived or moderate complexity testing.
