Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in North Carolina seeks a Tier 3 IT Infrastructure Engineer to handle advanced server, network, and data center issues. The role involves troubleshooting, configuration, and escalation management in a customer-facing capacity.

The candidate will support Windows Server environments, active directory, SCCM, and Cisco networking, while coordinating with product and engineering teams. On-site duties include 24x7 on-call readiness and cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Tier 3 IT infrastructure engineers with deep expertise troubleshoot, configure, and repair server, network, and data center issues.
• Experience managing and resolving high-expertise problems, including cloud and DC operations, for complex environments.
• Customer-facing role requiring strong communication under pressure and issue resolution.
• Front-line interface between customer and Product & Engineering teams, handling escalations per SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Network: Cisco Layer 2/3 routing, Cisco Wireless, CCNA‑level tasks; patching, switches, DNS/ DHCP.
• Data Center: server room hardware, rack servers, cabling, UPS/HVAC support.
• Server Management: Windows Server administration, SCCM, DHCP/DNS, file shares, AD.
• Critical plant floor IT support, on-call 24x7, liaising with SMEs and vendors.
