Job summary

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 international law firm, is seeking a talented mid to senior-level Associate Attorney to join its Labor & Employment Group, focusing on wage and hour class actions in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The ideal candidate will hold a California bar, have 3-5 years of employment litigation experience, and be eager to handle complex disputes, draft pleadings, manage discovery, and participate in trials.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 3-5 years of substantive employment litigation experience.
• Extensive experience defending wage & hour claims, including class action lawsuits.
• Strong legal research and writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality, strategic work product.
• Experience drafting key legal documents and managing discovery.
• Desire for trial work.
• Ability to work efficiently within a team-focused, high-performance environment.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining strong professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex employment litigation, including defending wage & hour claims and class actions.
• Draft and refine pleadings, motions, and class certification briefs.
• Participate in trials and assist trial preparation.
• Manage discovery, including written discovery, document reviews, and depositions.
• Collaborate with partners across CA offices to develop litigation strategies.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on class action issues.
• Maintain client-focused communication and deliver actionable guidance.
