Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable cloud-native platform capabilities across the enterprise container ecosystem. You will shape platform APIs, Kubernetes automation, service mesh enablement, and self-service onboarding to accelerate large-scale application onboarding and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering or platform engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in Golang with API/microservices experience.
Hands-on Kubernetes (K8s) and OpenShift (OCP) in enterprise environments.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Tekton, Argo CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
Experience implementing GitOps-based deployment models.
Hands-on with Service Mesh technologies (Istio, Consul, Linkerd).
Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, containers, and cloud-native patterns.
Experience with IAM, Secrets Management, Service Discovery, and security/compliance controls.
Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry).
Ability to collaborate across Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps, Security, and Application teams.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and engineering of scalable cloud-native platform services across enterprise container ecosystems.
Define technology tool stack and CI/CD automation patterns for the solution.
Drive Kubernetes/OpenShift platform engineering and API-driven automation.
Provide mentorship and influence platform modernization initiatives.
Ensure governance, security, and compliance in platform solutions.
