Job summary

Idexcel in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced senior technical leader to own enterprise Kubernetes platforms, governance, and GitOps delivery across AWS, Azure and hybrid environments.

You will design EKS/AKS platforms, establish platform standards and security controls, and drive self-service capabilities with Terraform modules.

The role emphasizes reliability, observability, SRE practices, and developer enablement through automation and robust CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a technical field and 7+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering.
• 5+ years Kubernetes engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, ArgoCD, GitHub ARC, Terraform, GitOps, cloud networking, observability, security and automation.
• Preferred CKAs or AWS/Azure certifications, regulated environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Design EKS/AKS platforms, cluster lifecycle management, platform standards, networking, storage and self-service capabilities.
• Establish RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Standards, Kyverno/Gatekeeper policies, multi-tenancy standards and compliance controls.
• Implement and manage GitHub Actions Runner Controller (ARC), enterprise CI/CD standards, pipeline security and deployment automation.
• Lead ArgoCD architecture, application onboarding, multi-cluster deployment patterns, progressive delivery and GitOps governance.
• Standardize Kubernetes across AWS and Azure, disaster recovery, portability and cross-cloud operations.
• Define SLOs, error budgets, monitoring standards and incident response practices.
• Build reusable Terraform modules, platform services, golden paths and self-service tooling.

Job Summary

Senior technical leader responsible for enterprise Kubernetes platforms, governance, GitHub ARC, ArgoCD GitOps delivery, multi-cloud Kubernetes architecture, security, reliability and developer enablement across AWS, Azure and hybrid environments.

Essential Functions:

Design EKS/AKS platforms, cluster lifecycle management, platform standards, networking, storage and self-service capabilities.

Establish RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Standards, Kyverno/Gatekeeper policies, multi-tenancy standards and compliance controls.
