Job summary

Nintendo Technology Development in Redmond, WA, seeks a senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes, to standardize and scale Kubernetes infrastructure. You will own day-to-day operations and strategic projects shaping our platform's future.

Responsibilities include IaC, GitOps automation, and CI/CD tooling with Helm/Kustomize; cluster management with kubeadm/kubectl; and networking/service mesh design across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Senior-level candidate with software engineering background and hands-on experience managing production Kubernetes environments.
• 3+ years in software development with at least 2 years handling production Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture: Pods, Deployments, Services, RBAC, API server.
• Experience with on-prem and cloud clusters (AWS/Google Cloud/Azure).
• Terraform for Kubernetes provisioning and management.

Responsibilities

• Document and standardize existing infrastructure and configurations.
• Build out IaC templates and Terraform scripts for reproducible Kubernetes deployments.
• Propose and evaluate hybrid cloud strategies.
• Design and implement GitOps-based deployments using ArgoCD, FluxCD, Spinnaker, or Kargo.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Helm or Kustomize.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters with kubeadm and kubectl.
• Work with on-prem and cloud environments and monitor cluster networking.
