Job summary

IPSecure in San Antonio, TX seeks a Senior Kubernetes Software Engineer (TS/SCI eligible) to design, develop, and support scalable, containerized applications. You will collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to automate pipelines, strengthen reliability, and resolve complex Kubernetes challenges.

The role requires hands-on Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC experience, with a focus on continuous improvement and cross-team collaboration in an on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
• 10 years of software development experience in production environments
• 5 years of hands-on Kubernetes experience (deployment, orchestration, scaling, cluster management)
• Strong containerization with Docker
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• IaC experience with Terraform/Ansible/AWS CloudFormation
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for distributed systems
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration across teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, containerized apps in Kubernetes environments (Kubeadm, RKE2).
• Author and maintain Kubernetes manifests (Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets).
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based apps.
• Diagnose and resolve deployment, infrastructure, and runtime issues across clusters.
• Monitor health and resource usage with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Develop centralized logging/monitoring for observability and incident response.
• Collaborate with DevOps/platform teams to improve infrastructure and delivery.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
