Quantum Sky is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to support the US Space Force Kobayashi Maru program. You will deploy, secure, and optimize containerized services, scale Kubernetes environments, and lead SRE practices across IL4/IL6 environments.

The role demands 6+ years in Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures, with active clearance and relevant certifications. Remote work is possible from the US, with preferred Colorado Springs or El Segundo locations.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering container orchestration solutions with Kubernetes.
• Design and operation of cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes.
• IaC for development, test and production environments.
• Observability and monitoring foundations for containerized apps.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, secure and maintain Kubernetes-based software deployments.
• Lead lifecycle management of containerized services for Kobayashi Maru.
• Configure security, networking, and observability across environments.
• Collaborate in an Agile team with daily standups and milestones.
• Produce RCAs and postmortems for incidents.
