Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Solutions Architect to design, deploy, and automate Kubernetes-based platforms supporting U.S. federal workloads. You will build scalable clusters, implement security controls, and enable development teams with self-service capabilities.

The role emphasizes IaC, CI/CD automation, and multi-tenant resilience across hybrid environments, including private clouds. DoD 8570/8140 certifications and TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain DoD 8570/8140 certifications.
• 8 years of experience in Kubernetes and container orchestration with a relevant degree.
• Advanced proficiency with infrastructure as code, especially Terraform.
• Significant experience architecting, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS or equivalent).
• Strong command of Kubernetes RBAC, security policies, and best practices.
• Thorough understanding of Kubernetes networking, Linux/Unix systems, and platform security.
• Proficiency with Git and GitOps workflows for Kubernetes resource management.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain Kubernetes clusters with focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Manage core Kubernetes services including networking, storage, and RBAC for access control.
• Oversee containerized workloads for high availability and secure multi-tenant environments.
• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes Operators for automation and lifecycle management.
• Drive IaC initiatives using Terraform to automate resource provisioning.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with security controls.
• Build automation scripts (Python, Go, Bash) to enhance Kubernetes operations.
• Mentor teams on container orchestration best practices and platform usage.
• Collaborate to assess new Kubernetes-native solutions and platform enhancements.
