Zoox is seeking a senior engineer to architect and build end-to-end features across mobile Android apps and Kotlin Spring Boot backends. You will craft scalable Android experiences, design robust microservices, and work across Zoox’s client, cloud, and vehicle stacks to deliver seamless rider experiences.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of software development, deep Kotlin expertise (Jetpack Compose, MVVM), and strong backend experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and WebSockets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in software development.
• Proficient in Kotlin with modern Android development (Jetpack Compose, MVVM).
• Experience with backend services, especially Spring Boot.
• Full-stack development experience including RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Collaborative with product/design teams from concept to launch.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering design and implementation of major product features for mobile and backend.
• Architect scalable Android apps and robust backend microservices.
• Collaborate with Zoox client, cloud, and vehicle teams to design end-to-end solutions.
• Partner with design and product teams to create intuitive rider experiences with seamless data flow.
• Shape the future of rider experiences in autonomous vehicle ride-hailing with full-stack ownership.
