Job summary

N-iX is seeking a Senior Kotlin Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable Kotlin microservices on AWS for a European fintech client. The role emphasizes AI-native delivery practices, production-grade distributed systems, and working within a client squad as an IC.

You'll engage with PostgreSQL databases and observability tools like Grafana, adopting Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies to boost delivery throughput while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial backend engineering.
• Proficient in Kotlin and scalable microservices on AWS.
• AI-native delivery practices across the CDLC.
• Production experience with distributed systems.
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Observability tooling experience (Grafana).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable Kotlin microservices on AWS.
• Apply AI-native delivery practices across the CDLC to increase throughput.
• Work with distributed systems, PostgreSQL and observability tooling in production.
• Multiply output and quality of the squad and share patterns beyond the team.
• Embed as an hands-on Individual Contributor within a client squad.
