Job summary

Autodesk Consulting seeks a Principal Solution Architect to drive the evolution of its Intellectual Property platform into an enterprise-ready SaaS product, powered by knowledge architecture, AI-enabled capabilities, and future agentic applications.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, and consulting teams to design knowledge architectures that connect workflows, data, decisions, and insights across the AEC, MFG, and M&E domains, establishing semantic models and platform

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of experience designing and delivering complex software platforms.
Experience as a Software Architect, Product Architect, Principal Engineer, or equivalent leadership role.
Experience designing AI-enabled, knowledge-driven, or workflow-centric software systems.
Experience with knowledge graphs, semantic architectures, ontologies, taxonomies, graph databases, or retrieval systems.
Experience evaluating and implementing AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG architectures, intelligent assistants, or autonomous agent patterns.
Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, distributed systems, and modern software engineering practices.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 15% of the time is required.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the architectural vision for Workflow Advisory and related knowledge-driven platform capabilities.
Design semantic architectures, knowledge models, and knowledge graph capabilities that connect workflows, data, decisions, and insights.
Define architecture patterns that enable workflow automation, intelligent decision support, and future agentic applications.
Establish standards for knowledge representation, lifecycle management, governance, and reuse across platforms.
Translate business workflows into reusable domain models, services, and architectural patterns.
Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native architectures that support enterprise and customer-facing solutions.
Ensure platform services, APIs, and knowledge assets are discoverable, composable, and consumable by AI-enabled applications.
Apply AI and LLM technologies to improve knowledge discovery, workflow execution, and advisory experiences.
Collaborate with architects and engineering responsible for ensuring architecture meets enterprise security, privacy, compliance, and SOC2 requirements.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and consulting teams to align architecture investments with business outcomes and technology strategy.
Drive adoption of architectural standards and reusable platform capabilities across teams.
Mentor engineers and architects while communicating architectural direction to senior leadership and stakeholders.
