Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is the trusted partner to the nation’s space programs, solving the hardest problems and providing unmatched technical expertise. This role, Senior Member of Technical Staff in Signal & Image Processing and Modeling & Simulation Engineering, is based in Chantilly, VA, and focuses on enterprise-level analysis and space-domain simulations.

You will plan and contribute to technical projects, work with multi-disciplinary teams, and develop tools and reports for end-to-end

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software), computer science, physics, operations research, or closely related technical field from an accredited school.
  • 5+ years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.
  • Technical understanding of space operations, red vs blue simulations, military utility, threat phenomenologies, kill chain effectiveness, communications infrastructure, and/or command and control (C2).
  • Experience with multi-phenomenology remote sensing techniques, specifically EOIR, RF, and RADAR processing, for object detection, tracking, and characterization.
  • Experience with Python and/or C++.
  • Current Top Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Independently plan and contribute to technical analysis projects.
  • Exercise expertise in understanding, modeling, and analyzing enterprise-level integrated missions.
  • Use and contribute to the development of in-house and government/off-the-shelf engineering analysis tools and products.
  • Develop and deliver timely and technically accurate presentations and reports.
  • Travel occasionally as required.
