Dover Precision Components is hiring a Senior Key Account Manager for our Waukesha Bearings brand. Waukesha Bearings is a leading designer and manufacturer of hydrodynamic fluid film bearings, active magnetic bearing systems, and seals for high-performing turbomachinery and rotating equipment in oil & gas, power generation, marine, and industrial markets. This role is 100% remote with up to 50% travel to strategic customers in the United States. We are growing and poised for continued growth!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Senior Key Account Manager will work to identify opportunities for business expansion. This role will develop and manage relationships in strategic markets and accounts, aiming to increase customer growth and market share through competitive strategies. You will target and facilitate contact with major prospective customers, both new and existing, interfacing with customers at multiple levels (technical, commercial, management) and delivering the value propositions of engineered solutions.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage and grow Key Accounts by developing strategies in pricing, technical offerings, and defining value propositions. Collaborate cross-functionally to implement these strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, helping expand market share and growth.
- Monitor market conditions and competitors to increase market share and maximize opportunities.
- Evaluate customer needs to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction.
- Develop relationships with customer management, procurement, and engineering staff to promote the company's value and increase share of wallet.
- Align with market drivers and customer strategies, providing feedback to inform company growth strategies.
- Position the company to capture new design opportunities, oversee development of conceptual solutions, and lead proposal presentations.
- Regularly acquire and submit forecast information based on customer business indicators.
- Ensure effective communication to maintain customer intimacy and position as the preferred supplier.
- Utilize lean techniques to analyze and improve workflows for better service delivery.
- Research and develop new opportunities within assigned territories, revisiting dormant accounts and prospecting for new customers through pre-sales, negotiations, and support phases.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing, sales, or client-facing engineering roles in engineered products, preferably in turbomachinery.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, growing market share and establishing trust.
- Technical knowledge of product promotion principles and methods.
- Collaborative style with integrity, high energy, and enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, fostering open dialogue.
- Strong organizational skills to meet goals and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially for data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.
PREFERENCES
- Experience with sales in turbomachinery, rotating equipment, or reciprocating compressor components.
- Existing relationships with oil & gas, power generation, marine, or industrial manufacturers.
- Experience with continuous improvement tools such as process analysis, Kaizen, and Lean techniques.
- Ability to inspire and develop cross-functional collaboration.
This is a salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package. Salary ranges from $121,000 to $169,000, with bonus eligibility based on performance.
