Job summary

Kay and Associates, Inc. is seeking a senior aircraft mechanic to support organizational‑level maintenance on KC-130 series aircraft under the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program.

The role emphasizes leadership, complex maintenance, and compliance with safety and quality standards in a contract environment in Kaneohe, HI. The position requires 7+ years of airframe experience and 5+ years with KC‑130 or similar aircraft, with shift flexibility and a willingness to obtain CDQAR/Safe for Flight

Qualifications

• 7+ years airframe aviation maintenance experience.
• 5+ years KC-130 or similar aircraft maintenance experience.
• Must be able to work day, swing, mid, or weekend shift as required.
• Former CDQAR preferred, must be CDQAR within 90 days of start.
• Former Safe for Flight preferred, must be Safe for Flight within 90 days of start.
• Must meet qualification requirements in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification.
• Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems.
• Lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics.
• Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs.
• Perform general aircraft maintenance; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; flight line operations.
