Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Software Engineer in Ohio to support the Information Platforms team. This role focuses on validating data-driven hypotheses, implementing event-driven architectures, and collaborating with application and SRE teams to resolve complex issues.

You will develop Kafka-based streaming solutions using Java, Python, and related tools. The position involves building and maintaining Kafka topics, connectors, and data schemas, while driving small technical tasks with

Qualifications

2-4 years of experience preferred or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Experience with data workflows and event-driven architectures is a plus

Responsibilities

Validates hypotheses with data and proposes fixes.
Analyzes issues and proposes options with impact assessment.
Collaborates with apps, platforms, and SRE teams to resolve complex issues and prevent recurrences.
Communicates clear recommendations to leads for decision making.
Develops and maintains Kafka producers and consumers using Java, Python, or similar technologies.
Assists in designing and implementing event-driven applications.
Creates and maintains Kafka topics, consumer groups, and message schemas.
Develops integrations using Kafka Connect source and sink connectors.
