Oowlish, a Latin America–based software development firm recognized as a Great Place to Work, seeks a Senior Kafka/AWS Integration Engineer to join a project building an event-driven middleware platform using Apache Kafka and AWS.

You will lead the AWS side of the integration, with Salesforce as the initial event source, collaborating with the Lead Integration Architect in an Agile setting to deliver reliable, scalable integrations.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Java development with stream processing and API components.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and Amazon MSK.
• Experience with AWS serverless technologies (API Gateway, Lambda).
• Automation testing, CI/CD, and production-grade practices.
• Agile/sprint environment under a client architect.
• Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provision and configure Amazon MSK clusters, Kafka topics, and schema registry.
• Configure Kafka Connect and CDC source connectors.
• Build REST-based event ingress using API Gateway and AWS Lambda.
• Develop Java stream-processing applications to transform data between Kafka topics.
• Build Java-based integration pipelines to deliver events to downstream systems.
• Implement dead letter queues and error-handling patterns.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and code coverage.
• Build and maintain infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with Agile team and provide knowledge transfer to client teams.
