Oowlish is seeking an experienced Senior Kafka/AWS Integration Engineer to join a project building and productionizing an event-driven middleware platform using Apache Kafka and AWS. You will implement the AWS side of the integration, with Salesforce as the initial event source, collaborating with the Lead Integration Architect in an Agile setting.

You will work across Kafka, MSK, Java, Kafka Connect, CDC, and AWS serverless technologies, delivering reliable, testable event-driven integrations

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on backend and integration development with Java.
• Experience building event-driven and Kafka-based systems.
• Hands-on AWS cloud services and cloud-based integrations.
• Production-ready integration pipelines and CI/CD practices.
• Strong testing, deployment, and production-quality software development.
• Agile/sprint environment collaboration and knowledge transfer.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Provision and configure Amazon MSK clusters, topics, and schema registry.
• Configure Kafka Connect and CDC source connectors.
• Build REST-based event ingress using API Gateway and Lambda to publish to Kafka.
• Develop Java stream-processing applications to transform data between topics.
• Create integration pipelines to deliver events to downstream systems.
• Implement DLQs and error-handling in event processing.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated tests.
• Use CloudFormation to deploy and manage infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the Lead Integration Architect and document solutions.
