Job summary

State of Maryland, Department of Juvenile Services, is seeking a qualified professional to provide case management to juveniles in community or residential settings, including overseeing intake and coordinating treatment plans.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of related experience, with supervisory responsibility and strong interpersonal skills to work with at-risk youth and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience providing case management services to emotionally or socially maladjusted, delinquent, victimized or exceptional juveniles in a community or residential setting.
• Substitutions allowed: AA in social/behavioral sciences or criminal justice with two years of relevant experience; Master’s degree can substitute one year of experience; military service can substitute for education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services to juveniles in a Community or Residential setting.
• Oversee intake services and implement/coordinate services and treatment plans.
• Supervise DJS Case Management Specialists.
