Cornerstone Defense LLC seeks a Network Engineer I for Joint Fires Network operations at Scott AFB, IL. The role focuses on real-time network operations, troubleshooting, and change management across DISN transport and IP infrastructure in a 24x7 environment.

You will work with customers, government agencies, O&M teams, and higher-tier engineering groups to maintain maximum network availability and support critical DoD missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with <2 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE) required before start date.
• Ability to operate in a 24x7 shift environment.
• Good understanding of IP and Transport network topologies.

Responsabilités

• Operate real-time network operations across DISN transport and IP infrastructure.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and manage changes to ensure maximum network availability.
• Coordinate with customers, gov't agencies, and higher‑tier engineering teams.
• Monitor network alarms and identify service-impacting conditions.
• Execute change-management tasks including hardware/software adjustments.
• Document outages, troubleshooting steps, escalations, and resolutions in incident systems.
• Assess and recommend network solutions using routers, switches, crypto devices, and MPLS/SDH.
