Job summary

RTX is seeking a dedicated Jira Administrator to join the DevSecOps team onsite at Marlborough MA or Tewksbury MA. You will manage Jira user accounts and permissions, standardize projects, and integrate with Confluence, GitLab, and other DevOps tools to support large-scale programs requiring a DoD Secret clearance.

You should bring extensive Jira expertise, scripting (Groovy/JavaScript), and a strong background in SDLC and Agile/Scrum practices. Relocation may be offered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Jira Administrator, including configuring workflows, permissions, and issue types.
• Experience with Jira automation features and scripting languages (Groovy, JavaScript).
• Familiar with SDLC processes involving scripting and automation.
• Proficient in Jira dashboards and plugins like Structure.
• Experience with enterprise configuration management tools (Git, GitLab).
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience supporting Jira workflows for large projects.
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Interim Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead user management, onboarding, and offboarding in Jira and AD groups.
• Standardize Jira projects and synchronize configurations across servers.
• Maintain system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Provide advanced user support and develop training initiatives.
• Architect and optimize Jira workflows, permissions, and project structures.
• Coordinate upgrade efforts with minimal business disruption.
• Manage integrations with Confluence, GitLab, and DevOps tools.
• Oversee advanced Jira customizations using plugins like Structure and ScriptRunner.
• Design dashboards, reports, and queries for complex insights.
• Prepare high-level documentation for configurations and processes.
• Monitor system performance and implement preventive measures.
• Develop advanced scripts to automate Jira tasks and processes.
• Lead refactoring to align with best practices.
