Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation seeks a Sr Jet Pilot to lead complex missions and provide strategic direction in flight operations. You will supervise pilots, plan missions, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance across diverse environments.

The role requires extensive multi-engine turbine hours, PIC time, and the ability to deploy internationally. Strong leadership and risk assessment skills are essential for success in this high‑responsibility position.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with 3,000 total flight hours.
• 2,000+ multi-engine turbine hours; 2,000 PIC hours (1,500 PIC in type).
• FAA 2nd Class Medical, CPL with instrument and multi-engine ratings, and/or ATP.
• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Ability to deploy for extended periods to DoD/OCONUS locations.
• Pass pre-deployment medical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex flight missions.
• Supervise and mentor junior pilots.
• Ensure mission readiness through planning and risk assessment.
• Enforce safety protocols and aviation regulations.
• Serve as primary point of contact for mission communications.
• Review flight data for continuous improvement.
• Facilitate training programs to maintain preparedness.
• Coordinate with engineering to resolve technical issues.
