Job summary

Hyperparam is building a new kind of frontend application to visualize and manage massive ML datasets. You will join a seed-stage startup on a hybrid in-person basis in Seattle, working closely with a small engineering team to craft a high‑performance data-driven UI.

You will implement interactive features, real-time filtering, and advanced visualizations using D3/Vega, while leveraging web workers to keep the UI responsive and scalable.

Qualifications

• Experience building complex and high‑performance React.js applications.
• Strong data visualization skills with D3/Vega or similar libraries.
• Solid understanding of modern JavaScript/Frontend tooling and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a highly interactive web app for visualizing large ML datasets.
• Implement efficient client-side data structures for real-time filtering and aggregation of big datasets.
• Create advanced visualizations using D3/Vega and related libraries.
• Leverage web workers and multithreading to enhance responsiveness.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to integrate ML features.
• Contribute to scalable, maintainable architecture decisions.
• Profile and optimize complex web applications for speed and memory use.
• Build performant React components and reusable UI patterns.
