Stadium is hiring a Senior Frontend Developer to build robust web applications using React.js and Next.js. You will own major features end to end, optimize performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging user experiences.

The role emphasizes mentoring, code quality, and staying ahead of frontend best practices in a fully remote environment. You will work with modern tooling and contribute to scalable, cutting-edge web platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web apps with JavaScript.
• 5+ years with React.js.
• Hands-on Next.js with SSR/SSG and routing.
• Deep React concepts: components, hooks, state, context, memoization, lifecycle.
• Strong ES6+, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Redux-style state management.
• REST API integration experience.
• Ownership of frontend performance optimization and testing.
• Experience with Webpack/Babel and deployment pipelines.
• Led code reviews and improved engineering standards.
• Strong problem-solving and independent requirements scoping.

Job description

As a Senior Frontend Developer (React.js / Next.js), you will:

• Architect and build robust, scalable web applications using React.js and Next.js that make our platform easy and enjoyable to use.
• Own significant features end to end — from technical design through rollout — and set the standards others build against.
• Drive frontend performance: server-side rendering, static generation, bundle size, Core Web Vitals, and caching strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features that enhance user engagement.
• Raise the quality bar through code reviews, refactoring, testing practices, and pragmatic technical debt reduction.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, and help grow the team’s overall frontend capability.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices in web development to keep our applications cutting-edge.

Primary Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building production web applications with JavaScript.
• 5+ years of professional experience with React.js.
• Hands-on production experience with Next.js, including server-side rendering, static generation, and routing.
• Deep understanding of React concepts: functional components, hooks, state management, context, memoization, rendering behavior, and lifecycle.
• Strong command of ES6+, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and a state management library (Redux or similar).
• Proven experience designing and integrating REST-based third-party APIs.
• Demonstrated ownership of frontend performance optimization, debugging, and browser testing.
• Experience with modern build tooling (Webpack, Babel, or equivalent) and frontend deployment pipelines.
• Track record of leading code reviews, refactoring legacy code, and improving engineering standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze, clarify, and scope requirements independently.
• High attention to detail and strong visualization of UI/UX.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience using Google Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights to drive measurable frontend performance gains.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for server-rendered web applications.
• Experience with component libraries, design systems, and monorepo tooling.
• Familiarity with automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress).
• Experience with feature flagging and progressive rollout practices.Experience working with asynchronous or distributed teams.
• Prior experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.
