Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Java developer for the Data & Analytics team. The role focuses on maintaining backend order management applications and contributing to the next-gen trading platform, with an emphasis on performance and reliability across trading workflows.

Responsibilities include collaborating with product teams, designing scalable software, and staying current with technologies.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent software engineering qualification.
• Over 5 years software engineering experience as an individual contributor.
• Strong Java fundamentals and API development experience.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, Gradle or Maven.
• Linux/Unix experience and PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Familiar with Agile methodology and its implementation.
• Knowledge of SOLID, DRY, Law of Demeter.
• Experience with Git and low-latency development principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize software solutions using modern technologies.
• Collaborate with product teams and architects to deliver scalable software.
• Maintain and enhance backend order management applications.
• Ensure alignment of software solutions with LSEG’s technology and business goals.
