Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Tech Lead to provide technical leadership across the end-to-end design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services. You will ensure alignment with the platform roadmap and drive high-quality solutions.

You will lead design and implementation of new software, coordinate coding and testing, mentor peers, and communicate status and risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT software development.
• 3+ years hands-on Java and Spring in production.
• 3+ years building microservices and REST APIs on AWS or containers.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases like Oracle or MongoDB.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of developers to deliver scalable applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand platform architecture and align initiatives with the roadmap.
• Design and develop technical solutions for new software development and enhancements.
• Coordinate coding and unit testing phases and facilitate code reviews.
• Develop domain solutions and execute changes per the implementation plan.
• Communicate project status and technical updates to stakeholders with action plans.
• Coordinate delivery timelines with the team, including quality and timeliness metrics.
• Coach, mentors and delegates work to lower level professionals.
• Participate actively in code development.
