Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Java Technical Architect to lead end-to-end delivery of scalable Java-based enterprise applications. You will architect microservices with Spring Boot, design HLD/LLD, and mentor a development team across on-site and offshore locations.

Applicants should have 10+ years IT experience, 4+ years as Architect, and strong Java/microservices expertise. On-site interview in New Jersey may be required, with AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and security focus as core aspects

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (8+) and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience in Microservices Architecture and RESTful API design.
• Cloud platforms knowledge with AWS preferred.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Security, performance, and scalability understanding in production systems.
• Experience in production support and complex issue triaging.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture for Java-based enterprise applications.
• Design microservices-based solutions using Spring Boot.
• Create and review High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documents.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
• Review code and guide teams on performance optimization and security; govern cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Collaborate with DevOps to define CI/CD and deployment strategies.
• Support production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term fixes.
• Work with business, product, and client teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
