Job summary

Mastercard Send team is seeking a Senior Java Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate near real-time payment platforms worldwide. You will blend software engineering with operational excellence to ensure reliability, scalability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems.

In this role, you will implement SRE practices, champion observability with OpenTelemetry and Dynatrace, and collaborate with product, platform, and security teams to deliver secure, scalable

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building Java-based distributed systems with focus on performance, scalability, and resiliency.
• Experience with enterprise apps using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native tech.
• Experience translating business needs into technical designs, APIs, and architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support cloud-native Java applications and microservices powering Mastercard Send.
• Build scalable, resilient systems using distributed architectures and cloud-native patterns.
• Develop and maintain secure, high-performing APIs and backend services.
• Drive production reliability via observability, monitoring, incident response and continuous improvement.
