Job summary

VDart Inc. is seeking an experienced Java Spring – Backend Developer for an onsite contract engagement across Berkeley Heights, NJ and Alpharetta, GA.

You will architect, develop, and optimize high-throughput Java/J2EE applications and Spring Boot microservices, integrating Kafka for real-time data processing. You will work with REST/SOAP APIs, Oracle SQL, and UNIX/Linux environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile sprints using JIRA and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of software engineering/backend development in Java/J2EE.
• Hands-on Spring Boot and microservices experience.
• Experience with Kafka event streaming.
• REST and SOAP web services integration.
• Oracle SQL and UNIX/Linux familiarity.
• GenAI/prompt tooling experience is a plus.
• Willingness to onsite in Berkeley Heights, NJ or Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise Java backend and RESTful microservices.
• Lead real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures with Kafka.
• Build and secure REST and SOAP APIs for enterprise integration.
• Parse and validate XML/JSON payloads in multi-tier pipelines.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and data models in Oracle SQL.
• Administer Linux/UNIX environments for backend services.
• Integrate GenAI and AI tooling into development workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using JIRA/Confluence.
