Job description

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to design and implement server-side logic, develop and maintain APIs, and optimize database performance. You will be responsible for monitoring server health, troubleshooting application issues, and ensuring system reliability. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on a critical part of a high-impact platform.

Essential functions

1. Design and implement server-side logic for backend services.
2. Develop and maintain APIs to support frontend and external integrations.
3. Manage and optimize databases for performance and reliability.
4. Monitor server health and troubleshoot application issues.
5. Ensure high availability and scalability of backend systems.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system architecture.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java, Dropwizard, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
• Expertise in Oracle database, SQL, Snowflake, and Liquibase.
• Familiarity with Kafka consumer configuration.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, ECR) and RESTful API design principles.
• Proficiency in Git, Docker, and Gradle.
