Job summary

Talent Groups is seeking a Senior Java Software Developer for a 100% remote role (with quarterly travel) or hybrid if local to DFW. You will design, build, and implement new features in an enterprise application, mainly back-end, using Spring Boot and microservices in an agile, test-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years Java and Spring Boot experience, strong SQL/NoSQL skills, cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS/GCP), and a solid track record with TDD, JUnit, Mockito, and Git.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• 7+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Proficient with Git.
• Experience with JUnit and Mockito.
• Hands-on Agile development.

Our client helps organizations manage risk, data protection, and compliance through industry-leading frameworks and tools. We are seeking a Senior Java Software Developer to design, build, and implement new features in an existing enterprise application. This is a back-end–focused role for an experienced developer who thrives in collaborative, test-driven, and agile environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Drive quality through consistent application of Test-Driven Development (TDD) using a “test-first” approach.
• Build internal tools and user-facing features that enhance the user experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of Java/Spring Boot development.
• 2+ years of practical TDD experience.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications or “strangling” monoliths.
