Job summary

Mackrel Technology is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot. You will build microservices, RESTful APIs, and work across database, cloud platforms, and modern dev practices.

The ideal candidate has 7–12 years of hands-on Java experience, strong knowledge of Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Hibernate, and a track record of delivering high-quality software within Agile

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building microservices, developing RESTful APIs, and working with databases, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Implement business logic using Java, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Work with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Hibernate.
• Design and optimize SQL queries and database interactions.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17 or later.
• Extensive experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, collections, multithreading, and exception handling.
• Experience developing microservices and RESTful web services.
• Knowledge of Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Hibernate.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
• Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis.
• Understanding of security best practices and application performance tuning.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Education

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
