Job summary

Spectraforce is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer in Newark, NJ for a 12‑month hybrid engagement. You will translate business needs into testable components, drive software delivery, and ensure high code quality with unit tests and automation.

You will design REST APIs and microservices, work with AWS services, and implement CI/CD pipelines while maintaining alignment with client standards and cloud best practices.

Qualifications

• Solid backend development experience using Java/Python and RESTful API design.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Working knowledge of containerization using Docker and deployment to AWS ECS (or EKS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments in AWS environments.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (VPC, IAM, load balancing, auto scaling).
• Proficiency with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL) and query optimization.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch).
