Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking a contract backend engineer in Newark, NJ for a hybrid role. You will translate business needs into testable components and drive software delivery with a focus on quality, security, and scalable architectures.

The role requires hands-on experience with Java/Python, REST APIs, AWS services, Docker, and CI/CD, along with a strong sense of ownership and collaboration with partners across the organization.

Qualifications

• Solid backend development experience using Java/Python and RESTful API design.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Working knowledge of containerization using Docker and deployment to AWS ECS (or EKS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments in AWS environments
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (VPC, IAM, load balancing, auto scaling)
• Proficiency with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL) and query optimization
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch)
