Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Software Developer with strong Java backend experience for remote work. You will design and implement API integrations, build data pipelines with Apache Kafka, and develop scheduled background tasks in enterprise environments.

The role requires deep SQL knowledge, Oracle DB proficiency, and familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Collaboration across multiple teams and adherence to ITSM processes is expected.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of relevant experience required.
• Degree from an accredited college/university is required; if degree not in the applicable field, four additional years of related experience.
• Usually performs all functional duties independently.
• Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level.

Responsibilities

• Work in Agile/Scrum environments, participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and story estimation.
• Collaborate with analysts, QA, product owners, and stakeholders to implement integrations.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade backend services and scheduled tasks.
