Job summary

Innova Solutions, based in Atlanta with a broad US footprint, seeks a Senior Java Platform Development Engineer for the Platform Development team. The role focuses on the On-Demand Environments platform, including backend services, CLI tooling, and Claude Skills, deployed across ECS, Kubernetes, and serverless targets.

You will own end-to-end delivery, implement secure and observable deployments, and contribute to architectural decisions while mentoring peers in a fast-paced cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java development with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and secure coding practices.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Database experience with CockroachDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines).
• Agile SDLC participation in Scrum or Kanban environments.
• APM and observability tooling (Dynatrace, Splunk, SLF4J/Log4j).
• Version control workflows (Git, Bitbucket; PRs).
• Security-focused development following OWASP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design & Deliver ODE Platform features for command-line tooling and backend services.
• Write secure, production-grade code and enforce security standards.
• Create architecture artifacts: ADRs and deployment diagrams to ensure scalability and zero-downtime deployments.
• Build and maintain APM dashboards and logging pipelines.
• Contribute to engineering communities and share lessons learned.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in cross-team initiatives.
