Job summary

CMCI is seeking a senior Java software engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using an Umbrella architecture. You will own end-to-end delivery across 50+ services, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

You will deploy and operate with Docker, AWS/EKS, Helm, and Traefik, ensuring robust ingress, data pipelines with RDS, Cassandra, and Kafka, and guiding platform modernization including Java upgrades.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong AWS/EKS deployment and Kubernetes troubleshooting.
• Experience with API gateways and Traefik ingress.
• Knowledge of Relational Databases (RDS) and NoSQL (Cassandra).
• Experience with Amazon MSK / Kafka for event streams.
• Experience with Umbrella pattern for monorepos/multi-module microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Java microservices in an Umbrella pattern architecture.
• Package applications with Docker and manage AWS/EKS orchestration.
• Configure ingress routing and Traefik-based load balancing.
• Work with relational and NoSQL data layers (RDS, Cassandra) and MSK.
• Lead platform modernization and upcoming Java upgrades.
