Job summary

Conduent in Atlanta, GA, seeks a Lead Java Developer to design, develop and oversee large Java applications for healthcare clients, driving technical decisions and mentoring the team through the full software lifecycle across requirements, design, implementation and testing.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Java, 2+ years in a lead role, UI design experience, and familiarity with Mocha/Jest. Experience with Medicaid/Healthcare projects is preferred, along with a BS in CS or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Java developer
• 2+ years in a Java lead role
• Experience with user interface design
• Knowledge of Mocha and Jest for performance testing
• Strong programming and troubleshooting skills
• Prior experience with Medicaid/Healthcare projects
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests and debugs software systems and applications
• Participates in full development lifecycle from requirements analysis to design
• Participates in software design meetings and defines technical requirements
• Prototype with end users to refine, test and meet needs
• Create technical specifications based on business requirements
• Serve as technical expert on development projects
• Evaluate new technologies for potential adoption
• Maintain documentation for software functionality, project plans and budgeting
• Provide estimates, budgets, project flow, and client updates
• Minimize risk and keep projects on track
• Manage user requirements and provide timely updates
• Analyze code to find and fix errors
• Provide feedback for team performance reviews
