Senior Backend Engineer — Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid)

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Hybrid – onsite 3-4 days)

Duration: Long-term (min. 1 year)

Pay range: $70.00/hr - $85.00/hr

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java (11–21), Kotlin, Spring Boot, microservices, messaging systems, and cloud‑native development.

This role contributes to the design and modernization of large‑scale, distributed systems for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Kotlin microservices using Spring Boot & Spring Cloud
• Build RESTful APIs, secure endpoints (OAuth2/JWT), and integrate distributed systems
• Develop event‑driven architectures with Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Write high‑quality, testable code with JUnit/Mockito
• Optimize system performance, concurrency, and scalability
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies

Required Experience

• 6–12+ years backend development
