Job summary

Synechron in Newark, Delaware is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to supervise and develop software across SDLC for key applications. You will work with architects and business units to design solutions, prototype ideas, and create UML diagrams describing current and future states.

This role demands deep Java/J2EE, Spring, Angular or Vue, RESTful services, and coordination with distributed teams to meet release deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience developing with Java, Spring, SQL.
• Expert in Angular or Vue.js development.
• Hands on working experience to develop mission critical, large scale enterprise applications using Java/J2EE.
• Strong understanding of OO design and strong Java programming skills.
• Knowledge of using one or multiple J2EE application servers.
• Strong experience on RESTful services using Spring Framework, Spring Boot and SOAP Webservices.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for online data publishing and consuming.
• JUnit test development, performance testing, code analysis.
• Experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and NoSQL Cassandra DB technologies.
• Experience using Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk and SOAP UI.
• Experience building high volume, scalable distributed technologies.
• Experience with design patterns and cross-functional coordination.
• Agile and SDLC knowledge with TDD.

Responsibilities

• Work with LOBs and architects to provide implementation solutions for applications.
• Create prototypes to prove designs.
• Prepare UML diagrams of current and future states.
• Lead reviews to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Develop, test, maintain and debug software supporting business units.
• Assist senior business leaders and management.
• Provide strategic technical direction and system architecture when needed.
• Recommend innovations to gain competitive advantage.
• Estimate effort for software initiatives across teams.
• Coordinate with external programming teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide feedback to project managers on critical issues.
