Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to design and build secure, scalable cloud-native applications. You will lead backend, frontend, microservices, and AI-assisted practices, delivering RESTful APIs, React/Angular frontends, and AWS deployments.

Bring 5+ years of experience in full-stack, Java/Spring Boot, and containerized cloud-native environments. This on-site US Columbus position offers a competitive compensation package and Cognizant’s incentive programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering/full-stack development experience.

• Hands-on Microservices & REST API development.

Senior Java Full Stack Engineer | Spring Boot | React/Angular | AWS

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to design and build secure, scalable, cloud-native applications. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership across backend, frontend, microservices, AWS, CI/CD, and modern AI-assisted engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate services using Kafka
• Develop frontend applications using React or Angular
• Deploy and support cloud-native solutions on AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD, security, and application resiliency best practices

• Use enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and code quality

Compensation

- $80,000 to $115,000 + COLA and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 11/8/2026
