Motion Recruitment is partnered with a leading U.S. financial exchange to hire a senior Full Stack Developer. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance trading applications, with a focus on Java backend (Spring Boot) and Angular front-end.

The role involves building microservices, event-driven systems with Kafka, and cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate has 11–18 years of professional software development experience, strong Java/Spring Boot and Angular skills, and

Qualifications

• 11–18 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Extensive experience building microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong Kafka/event-streaming experience.
• Strong AWS cloud experience.
• Hands-on Angular development experience.
• Experience working with high-volume, low-latency, or real-time applications.
• Trading, financial markets, brokerage, exchange, or capital markets experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, and scalable application design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications supporting trading and exchange systems.
• Build scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Develop responsive front-end applications using Angular.
• Design and integrate event-driven systems using Kafka.
• Build and support cloud-based applications and infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and trading teams to deliver new functionality.
• Troubleshoot and optimize high-performance, business-critical applications.
• Contribute to architecture, technical design, testing, and production support.
