Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking a Sr. Engineer for the Travel Rewards Technology team. The role is a 17-week contract in Tempe, AZ with hybrid onsite work three days per week.

You will collaborate across business analysts, PMs, IT architects, and developers to design and implement scalable enterprise solutions and maintain critical services. The position requires strong Java Full Stack experience, Spring Framework, cloud and container tooling (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker), REST, Kafka, and DevOps

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java Full Stack Development experience.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot/Spring Framework.
• Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, DataLake, ADX, Databricks, and database/persistence frameworks.
• Strong experience with REST web services and Apache Kafka.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and handling security vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads, developers, and internal customers to understand and develop solutions based on business requirements.
• Maintain and enhance enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Create detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates.
• Research and implement new technologies to improve processes, security, and performance.
• Develop and follow coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
• Partner with software architects and technical leads to ensure solutions support long-term enterprise growth.
