Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to contribute to geolocation product lines in the United States (Georgia). You will develop elements across UI, back-end, and full-stack areas, leveraging Java and containerization within an Agile/DevOps setting.

You will collaborate with software and systems engineers to analyze requirements, derive user stories, implement features, and perform integration and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• 7 years’ experience as a SWE on programs of similar scope and complexity.
• 4 years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enhancements to existing capabilities using Java.
• Apply containerization for development, packaging and delivery.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers in an agile environment to derive user stories and plan development.
• Perform integration and testing as needed.
• Test and debug software for integrated applications.
• Provide tier 2 and 3 support for deployed capabilities and address bugs.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
