Job summary

Peraton is seeking a senior Java SWE in Annapolis to design, develop, test, and maintain web-scale applications for national security programs. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and hands-on Java with Spring in an Agile setting.

The work is performed at a contractor facility with no telework option; on-site collaboration and disciplined software practices are essential. Opportunities to work with Quarkus, UI frameworks, and modern tooling are available.

Qualifications

• Fourteen (14) years of SWE experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline; four years additional SWE experience may substitute for a degree.
• Six (6) years of Java experience in design, development, and maintenance.
• Independence in development, testing, installation/maintenance, and problem diagnosis.
• Familiarity with Agile development and source code management practices.
• Experience with Java applications using the Spring Framework.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, install, maintain, enhance, and integrate software with independence.
• Evaluate project needs, determine tasks and durations, and review designs for technical accuracy.
• Contribute within an Agile development environment using Java and related tools.
• Work at a contractor facility; telework is not available.
• Broaden skills with Quarkus and UI frameworks as applicable.
