Job summary

Culper Technology in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Senior Software Engineer to support mission-critical Java-based applications. You will join an Agile team to automate data management workflows and ensure compliant data movement and integration across the customer mission environment.

The role emphasizes modern Java stacks (Quarkus, PrimeFaces) and collaboration with engineers to meet stringent performance targets. U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI is required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• 20+ years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Four additional years of experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience designing complex software with strict performance and resource requirements.
• Experience documenting software processes and collaborating with system engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Java-based applications.
• Support the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment.
• Develop solutions that automate data management, approvals, and compliant workflows.
• Design and implement algorithms meeting timing, resource, and interface needs.
• Run quality reviews and contribute to process improvements.
• Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to define software requirements.
