Job summary

Professional Management Enterprise, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications.

You will own key components, mentor developers, and work across DevOps and development teams to ensure high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate has strong Java, Oracle, and architecture skills, with experience in Agile environments and a commitment to reliable, scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java, Struts 2.0, JSP, Servlets, and Spring Framework.
• Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.
• Web UI experience with JSP, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Debug, analyze, and optimize SQL queries for performance.
• Experience with SDLC, version control, CI, and unit testing.
• Experience in Agile Scrum teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to provide after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications.
• Provide technical leadership within an Agile team and mentor juniors.
• Develop Java applications using Struts 2.0, JSP, Servlets, and Spring.
• Deploy and support applications on Tomcat and other servers.
• Design and maintain Oracle database objects and PL/SQL procedures.
• Investigate issues, optimize performance, and resolve incidents.
• Collaborate with DevOps for releases and CI workflows.
• Promote SDLC best practices and maintainable code.
