Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is seeking a Java Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain full stack Spring Boot applications in an Agile SDLC. You will develop enterprise Java services, APIs, and data models.

Collaborate with business analysts and engineers, perform unit/testing and code reviews, and mentor junior staff. Travel up to 10% to the Jacksonville, FL office. Four to seven years in software engineering with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL Server is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4-7 years of software engineering experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience designing APIs and data models for persistence.
• Familiarity with SQL Server and cloud-native approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provides full stack design and development of Spring Boot components and migration of legacy components.
• Designs and develops APIs to support front-end functionality and partner consumption.
• Creates data models for applications and databases to persist them.
• Collaborates with analysts and team members to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Performs code reviews, unit tests, and adheres to secure coding practices.
• Mentors less experienced developers and stays aligned with SDLC standards.
