Job summary

RaytheonSpace is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and test Java-based software for satellite ground systems in an onsite setting. You will collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions across Linux environments.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, a STEM degree, and 5+ years of relevant experience, with Agile/DevOps experience and familiarity with tools like Jenkins,

Qualifications

• Active and transferable TS/SCI with Polygraph U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
• Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Java on Linux with unit testing (JUnit).
• Scripting experience with Perl and Python.
• Experience in an Agile/DevOps environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test Java-based software for satellite ground systems.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and hardware designers to deliver high-performance software.
• Define software requirements and specifications with cross-functional teams.
